Explained
Ghost immobiliser vs tracker
These two things get lumped together a lot, but they solve different problems. One stops your car starting in the first place. The other helps you find it once it's already gone. Most drivers end up wanting both.
Ghost immobiliser
A ghost immobiliser sits hidden inside your car's wiring, with no box to spot and no wireless signal for a thief's equipment to pick up. To start the engine, you enter a PIN sequence using your car's existing buttons. Get it wrong, or skip it entirely, and the engine simply will not start. It defeats relay attacks and cloned keys at the source, because there's nothing to intercept.
GPS tracker
A tracker doesn't stop anyone from driving off. What it does is give you and, where needed, the police a live location and full journey history through an app, so a stolen vehicle can actually be found and recovered. It's the safety net for after prevention has failed, or for keeping an eye on a vehicle day to day.

Why Phantom Guard bundles both
Prevention and recovery are two different jobs, and on their own each one leaves a gap. An immobiliser with no tracking means you have no way to see what's happening if it's ever bypassed or the car is towed away. A tracker with no immobiliser means the car can still be driven off, you're just watching it happen. Phantom Guard is GuardOn's flagship product because it closes both gaps at once: a hidden Ghost Immobiliser to stop the engine starting, plus live GPS tracking, an app and 24/7 monitoring layered on top. One system, professionally installed, covering the moment of theft and everything after it.
